In August 2007, God gave the overseer of this ministry, Overseer Barbara W. Ravenell, a Rhema word.  He told her to go to everyone He sends her and say whatever He commands her to say.  He told her to lay hands on the sick and He will heal them. God also said that He will be with her until the end of times.  This is the same commandment that Jesus gave his disciples and this was one aspect of Jesus ministry during his time here on earth. (Matt 9:19-33; Matt 28:18; Mark 16; John 11)

She shared God’s words with her dear friend, Minister Versalle Jones, who she considers a spiritual mother.  Overseer asked her friend what should she do.  Her friend replied by saying if it is of God, He would make every crooked path straight (Isa 42:16).  

 In praying to God and seeking continue direction from Him, the Lord gave her the name for the ministry, “Birthing of Miracles Ministries,” for He said that this was His ministry and not man’s ministry.  As time pass, God start sending workers her way and the individuals were from different denominations.  It was God’s way of bringing diversity to the ministry and showing unity among those who believe.  For the scriptures states in Ephesians 4:4-7:

  4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

  5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

  6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

 7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

The ultimate goal of the ministry is to teach and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ’s death, burial and resurrection to the lost souls and comfort those that are hurting across the United States and aboard.  In 2009, God gave Overseer a vision to open a church. He told her if anyone asked her how this came into existence, she was to tell them that “God did it.” 

Therefore, the Lord allowed the ministry to obtain a building in the heart of St. Stephen, South Carolina in June 2009 under the ministry’s name and where she is currently presiding as Pastor.  She also has a wonderful staff that supports her faithfully.
